A deluxe photographic book documenting an extraordinary Sicilian festival: its 39 large full-color images and nine text pages (bilingual: English and Italian) provide fascinating historical and cultural context. The images begin with the world-famous temple of Segesta and explore the festival and town at both intimate and panoramic scales. The author/artist is a university professor and exhibiting photo artist; this is his first documentary book. He has a special relationship with the town of Calatafimi in that all of his grandparents were born there and he has been documenting it periodically for more than twenty years. The book is 9×11 inches, 96 pages.
